Leander
Bindewald, MSc MA

Uniting an academic background in neurobiology, philosophy and economics with life and work experience on 4 continents, I had worked as an independent consultant on collaborative processes and complementary currencies since 2009, based out of Brussels. Find my resumé here.
In July 2012 I assumed a research and project-management position at the New Economics Foundation in London.
Having focusing solely on complementary currencies since early 2010 I had co-developed the GEF Forum on Green Entrepreneurship, including two virtual currencies on a WordPress platform and presented and collaborated on the topic in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Switzerland and the Americas to private, public and third sector entities. At and for the Hub Brussels I implemented a two-fold community currency pilot for social entrepreneurs using the Drupal software package of CommunityForge. In February 2011 I visited STRO in Uruguay for a close-up of their C3 currency. In the second half of 2011 I worked in the USA for Dane County TimeBank in Madison, WI, launching timeForTheWorld. In between, I took complementary currency into the performing arts in Brussels with a Postcard-from-the-Future.
Back in Germany in 2012, I co-organized the Berlin symposium on money and sustainability for WANG and the fairventure-2012 congress in Leipzig, where I also taught a school course on solidary economics with the Coinstatt-Akademie collective.
